How your records are protected from Japan to your door.

01 · THE SHORT VERSION

Tokyo83Vinyl ships international orders with tracked EMS.

If a shipment is lost, stolen, or damaged during transit, compensation may be available under Japan Post's EMS compensation system.

For higher-value shipments, Tokyo83Vinyl declares a compensation value based on the value of the records in the shipment.

PLEASE NOTE Compensation applies to actual loss caused during transit and is subject to Japan Post's EMS terms and investigation.

03 · DECLARED VALUE

HOW IS THE COMPENSATION
AMOUNT DETERMINED?

EMS compensation is based on the actual value of the records, up to the declared compensation amount.

If the entire shipment is confirmed lost, the EMS compensation claim would generally be based on the €180 value of the records, subject to Japan Post's terms and investigation.

Shipping and VAT

Shipping fees and VAT are not included in the declared record value used for the EMS compensation claim.

  • Tokyo83Vinyl will refund the shipping fee paid by the customer.
  • Any VAT collected by Tokyo83Vinyl for the cancelled order will also be refunded or adjusted as applicable.
  • Tokyo83Vinyl will handle the EMS compensation claim separately as the sender.

04 · IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG

IF YOUR PACKAGE
ARRIVES DAMAGED.

  1. 01Do not throw away the shipping box or packaging.
  2. 02Take clear photos of the outer box.
  3. 03Take photos of the damaged record, jacket, OBI, or inserts.
  4. 04Keep all packaging materials until the case is resolved.
  5. 05Contact Tokyo83Vinyl as soon as possible.

Tokyo83Vinyl will assist with the EMS investigation and compensation process as the sender of the shipment.
